Jenna’s Bistro & Wine shows Ao Nang dining scene coming of age

PRESS RELEASE - Jenna’s Bistro & Wine establishment shows that the Ao Nang dining scene is coming of age. Although Ao Nang has shown rapid growth as a popular international travel destination, and although many people are choosing it as an alternative to the beaches of over-developed Phuket to the north, its restaurant scene has not yet fully matured.

Visitors like to go to Ao Nang on holiday to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches and natural tropical scenery. Development and construction has been measured and well planned, with an increase of accommodations for every budget. Tourists can choose to stay in hostels, budget inns, guesthouses, or luxury hotels and private villas. The variety for lodging is well set.

As for the restaurant scene, the choices have been largely of the Thai variety. Most tourists to Ao Nang are westerners, and although they love the Thai cuisine, they want more variety. This Ao Nang dining scene recently changed with the opening of Jenna’s Bistro & Wine. With travel blogs and social media all decrying the lack of good western food in Ao Nang, Jenna’s has already earned a name for itself with rave reviews for their French-British menu.

The reviews state that although the menu isn’t pages long, the options are thoughtful, innovative and delicious. Mikko Kataja, Jenna’s owner and Executive chef said,

“The success of Jenna’s has been a true testament of how the concept has been missing from Ao Nang. The simple combination of flavoursome food and a solid wine selection is something that tourists are increasingly seeking in Ao Nang.”

The restaurant is also helping the local hotelier industry, providing them with a viable option for their discerning guests. They report that many of their guests return to Jenna’s multiple times. Chef Kataja loves seeing the repeat customers and said,

“Sometimes the same group picks up a picnic basket from us in the morning on their way to the beach, then stops by for a glass of wine on their way back, and then we see them again the same night having dinner!”

Jenna’s has options of menus, an A La Carte Menu, and a Special Menu. The A La Carte Menu offers everything from small bite to French cheeses, Italian cold cuts, and pasta. Variety of main course meals and Chargrilled top quality Australian steaks and home made desserts. The Special Menu offers vegetarian fare, kids’ menu, picnic basket, and more.

Jenna’s Bistro and Wine, opened in November 2013, is located at 328/3 Moo 2 Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand.
